Simon immigrated from Ireland to the United States with his family when he was 7 years old and then spent his formative years living in New York. He moved to Charlotte in 2004 and acquired his Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and then obtained his Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law on a full merit scholarship. Since graduating law school, and in an effort to constantly increase his business acumen, Simon has taken numerous post-graduate programs studying business analytics, economics, and negotiation tactics at Harvard University.
Simon is a corporate law generalist. In the 10 years since graduating law school he has worked predominantly as a corporate and transactions attorney, focusing primarily on company formations, commercial real estate matters, mergers and acquisitions, credit facilities, intellectual property protection and licensing, and business strategy and day-to-day operations, serving as both General Counsel and outside legal counsel for numerous companies in a broad field of industries including sports, entertainment, media, commercial development, franchising, military contracting, international manufacturing, service contract sales, and software development. Simon’s occupational passion is working with small business owners to help tap the full growth potential of their businesses.
