What awards has attorney Ryan Monk received recently?
Ryan Monk, already well-known as a talented estate planning attorney with bases in Charlotte and Fort Mill, North Carolina, has recently added two prestigious new credentials to his resume. He has been recognized in 2017 as both a Super Lawyer and as one of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite. A member of the North Carolina South Carolina State Bar Associations, Ryan Monk concentrates his efforts on legacy protection and wealth preservation, and is adept in handling issues of elder law, veterans benefits, and business law with competence and integrity.
The Selection Processes
Super Lawyers is a service that rates outstanding lawyers from all 50 states and Washington, D.C. in more than 70 practice areas. Its vigorous selection process is based on independent research as well as nominations and evaluations by peers. Super Lawyers Magazine profiles selected attorneys and is distributed to attorneys in the region and to ABA-accredited law school libraries. In addition, Super Lawyers is published as a special section in magazines throughout the United States.
Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite, established in 2002, is published by Business North Carolina magazine to honor the state’s top lawyers in business-related aspects of law. Winners of this award are chosen by the state’s lawyers themselves. Legal Elite is, in fact, the only award that is fully inclusive, giving every attorney in North Carolina the opportunity to participate in evaluating his or her colleagues. In order to ensure fairness, lawyers may pick members of their own teams only if they they pick out-of-firm attorneys in the same practice areas, in which case the latter are given more weight. Once the top attorney is chosen in each category, he or she becomes a member of the Legal Elite Hall of Fame and is no longer eligible to be chosen.
Winning both awards is a great way to begin the New Year! Congratulations to Ryan Monk, a truly talented attorney who makes North Carolina proud.
